1. if i could go back in time, i would meet anastasia romanov and her family. when i was in preschool, the anastasia movie came out and i was obessed. i didn't know her real story then, but as i became older, i was still interested in her story and enjoyed learning different facts about her life and death. i would like to ask her if ana anderson was really her and learn how it was to be held captive by the bolseviks.

2. the most confusing thought i have ever had is about infinity after death. after a person dies, i try to grasp the concept of how long they'll be dead for and it just doesnt stop. infintity scares me honestly and i hate thinking about death.

3. my most prized posession is my ipod. actaully, my sister's ipod. my ipod fell into the bay, which wasn't a very good day. but i have it on me constantly and i am alsways listening to music and downloading new songs. without my ipod i wouldnt function the way i do and and i would always have a song stuck in my head. (which i dont always enjoy.)

4. my favorite book is catcher in the rye by jd sallinger. i read it on my own and i loved how you felt like you knew exactly what the main caharacter was going through. there were many symbols and motifs that i understood but i would like to be able to discuss it with another perosn eventually because i know i didn't catch everything.
i have several favorite movies including, across the universe, billy madison, curious george (the colors in the animation is beautiful) and 500 days of summer.
i don't have a favorite artist, just a bunch i constantly listen to. so im just going to name them anyways... ra ra riot, jason mraz, coldplay, paolo nutini, jack johnson, albert hammond jr, james morrison (i love his voice), and shwayze. the three songs currently stuck in my head are you make my dreams by hall and oates, c is the heavenly option by los campesinos! and alive with the glory of love by say anything.

Danny I like your response to your most prized possession. I too am a musician, and I admit I like to play loud. I also am a huge fan of Van Halen. In fact my band plays in the style of Led Zeppelin and Van Halen, any shance you play bass or keys? We are looking for both.

Ok, now on to my answers to Mr. Everett's Ice Breaker Questions:

1. I would choose to meet Benjamin Franklin, and ask him if the government we have today (its policies and its corruption) is what he envisioned back in the Early days of our country.

2. My most confusing thought is probably what Heaven is like. (I'm young and enjoying life now so I shouldn't be thinking about my afterlife, but I guess you can die tomorrow no matter how old you are. Not to sound creepy!)

3.My most prized possession is my drumset. I am a drummer at heart and a singer too ( I can do both at the same time). On occasion I just like to annoy my neighbor's by playing loud I guess.

4. Favorite book: The Martha's Vineyard Murder
Movie: White Chicks
Band: This is a tough one. It's between Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Van Halen. I'll go with Zeppelin!

Thea: I love your music selection! Jack Johnson is awesome! I love his song Bubbly Toes. :)

1. If I could go back in time I would would want to meet Shakespeare and ask him about the mistakes in his plays.

2. I've tried thinking about our universe before, but the idea that it keeps expanding always brings up the question of what it's expanding into. So I always end up with a headache and no answers.

3. My most prized possession would have to be my laptop. It has all my music on it as well as internet access and most of my photos.

4. Book: The Hobbit
Movie: The Princess Bride
Music: Jason Mraz, The Beatles, and Yiruma.

1. If I could go back in time I would want to meet Anne Frank. I would ask her what was it like hiding in an attic with her family along with another family. How scared was she knowing that they could be caught any day by the Nazi's and sent to a concentration camp. I would also ask what was it like living at a concentration camp?

2. I'm with thea on this one. I, too, think about infinity after death. And what happens after death. It freaks me out and scares me : / , but at the same time and makes me realized that I have to live everyday like it's my last and enjoy life as it comes.

3. My most prized possession is a picture that I have of my mom and me. She died about 2 years ago and it's the only one that I have of us together.

4. Favorite Book: For One More Day.
Movie: A Walk to Remember
Favorite Band/ artist: This is a tough one, I like all different kinds of music and artists; here's just a few: Bob Marley, Eddy Grant, Carole King, the fray, journey, biggie, beyonce, jay-z, rihanna, kanye, busta rhymes, ramones, beatles, beach boys, the cure, the doors...i could go on all day.

To Danny: What guitar(s) do you have?

anyway to my answers

My favorite movie is probably scary movie 3

1) I would like to meet Edgar Allen Poe. I want to talk about what is going on in that delightfully disturbing mind of his. I mean who marries their 13 year old cousin?

2) What truly baffles me is how girls begin to obsess over fictional characters like, dare i say, Edward Cullen that some really begin to believe that he actually exists. For all I know, there could be a person who's name is Edward Cullen, but is it a carbon copy of the actually character? Highly unlikely.

3) My most prized possession if my imagination, if i couldn't take frequent trips away from reality, i would get very cranky.

4) I couldn't say it was the best, but one of the best books i have ever read was "Betwixt" by Tara Bray Smith.

Movie:"Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains."

Band: The Asylum Street Spankers

1. If I could go back in time, and meet someone it would probably be Mother Teresa. Ever since, I was a little girl, I've heard nothing but great and terrible things about her. Quite controversial. She's always seemed intriguing. I would just love to have a day with her, just to observe, and to see for myslef what she was truly like.
2. Evolution.

3.My most prized possessions are pictures of my little brothers, who I never see anymore.
4.Anything written by Nicholas Sparks. Love Showtunes!!! and how can I pick a favorite artist???

Ok, first off, Justin I cannot believe your favorite movie is WHITE CHICKS! I never would have guessed that!

Who I would want to meet: hmm, either Malcolm X or Henry the Eighth. I find them both incredibly interesting. Ever since I read Malcolm X's autobiograpghy, I've always wanted to speak with him; his life was inspiring. Henry the eighth was just crazy, I'm sure talking to him would be very very entertaining.

Mind boggling thought: How is it possible that we read? How can our minds look at a jumble of letters and numbers and make sense out of it. If you think about it, its really strange.

Prized possesion: MY BRAND NEW HP WIFI LAPTOP.

Books/Band:
                Favorite Band: Bob Dylan
Favorite Book: The God Of Small Things

To Justin Braga: A drummer? Like Keith Moon? Drumming energetically, blowing up drum kits and toilets? And Zeppelin? Come on...floyd, floyd, Floyd! Though I might be biased considering The Dark Side of the Moon is one of my personal favorites. But Led Zeppelin is great as well.

To Savanna: Of course Edward exists, he's Michelangelo's David. With marble arms, marble legs...

To Vicky Smith: The Beatles? You and I might get along quite well. And i'm surprised, Yiruma is rather obscure. I had some of his albums a few years ago, his piano pieces are quite lovely.

To Felicity: I'm a huge Dylan fan as well.

To Danny: Ah, Woodstock. Can I come too?

1) If you could go back in time, who would you choose to meet and what would you ask or do?

Have tea and biscuits with an angry George Carlin in the heart of the Vatican.

2) What is the most confusing thought/question you have ever had?

How can Obama be a Nazi, Socialist, Communist, Muslim, Christan, Terrorist and a Pacifist at the same time?

3) What is your most prized possession and why?

Who would want a Dell laptop?

4) What is your favorite book, movie, and music artist (at least right now)?

I recently read Walden by Henry David Thoreau, though I wished he applied his message of "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!" to his writing, his use of language is quite difficult to grasp thus it was slightly painful to read. I will say as of right now, my favorite is
Ayn Rand's magnum opus: Atlas Shrugged, which is often a major turn-off for some people. If you read with an open mind, Objectivism is quite...interesting. I wonder what's Ayn Rand's ideal romantic evening.

I don't really recall the last good movie I watched, probably it was Woody Allen's Manhattan. But after being dragged into seeing those summer blockbusters like Transformers 2 or G.I. Joe, your enthusiasm towards movies (and IQ) lowers.

Music? I would enthusiastically respond with "The Beatles!" or Miles Davis. But I been listening to Nellie Mckay recently, I find her lyrics and distinctive voice refreshing. I also been listening to the works of composers Robert Schumann and Igor Stravinsky.

Felicity- Bob Dylan is an incredible musician, but he is not a band!
Justin- White Chicks though? lol
Thea- I agree, the Jonas Brothers are very attractive, minus Kevin.

1) If you could go back in time, who would you choose to meet and what would you ask or do?
If I could go back in time, I would choose to meet Mahatma Gandhi because I believe he was one of the greatest inspirational role models of all time. I would question Gandhi on his thoughts and take advice on how to follow his exceptional example.

2) What is the most confusing thought/question you have ever had?
One of the most confusing thoughts I have ever had has been the theory of the world as a whole. What or who created the universe and for what purpose? Whether people believe a scentific explanation or religious reasoning, the provoking thought is extremely unexplanable to me.

3) What is your most prized possession and why?
My most prized possession currently would have to be my cell phone. I doubt I could handle even a day without it and I must admit I am somewhat addicted to the texting aspect of the 21st century.

4) What is your favorite book, movie, and music artist (at least right now)?
Favorite Book- The Kite Runner
Favorite Movie- Apocalypto
Favorite Music Artist- Matisyahu

Behavior wise? Kidding. But aside his notorious acts, Moon was one of the most innovative drummers in the history of rock n' roll.  It's awesome to see other people from our generation listening to bands like the Who, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.

I'm feeling lucky...who listens to Milton Nascimento , Natsukawa Rimi, Wanda Jackson or Dizzy Gillespie? Anybody? -insert cricket noise here-

Oh yes, since it's October 2nd...it's Gandhi's birthday! Let's send our birthday wishes to Bapu. He would've been 140 years of age today.

I think if your musical talented or really into music like i am , then playing loud music makes you go into another world , you feel carefree and you can express the way you feel musically.

1) If you could go back in time, who would you choose to meet and what would you ask or do?
I would want to meet Mark Twain. I've read some of his speeches nad he's kind of ridiculous.
http://grammar.about.com/od/classicessays/a/adviceyouth.htm
^Thats one of my favorite speeches my him :D

2) What is the most confusing thought/question you have ever had?
Would a triceratops  wear a helmet if it played extreme Jenga?

3) What is your most prized possession and why?
It sounds really materialistic but I don't know what I'd do with out my ipod touch. I live on the internet so I'm on it basically as soon as I get up until I go to sleep. I'm kind of wayyyy to dependent on technology.

4) What is your favorite book, movie, and music artist (at least right now)?
My favorite books right now are "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabakov and both "Looking for Alaska" and "An Abundance of Katherines" by John Green
For music, I've really been into Lily Allen and Psapp lately. As well as ridic techno and "house" music. Its all I do homework to. Because thats all I do with my life.
For movies, I really liked, "Role Models" with Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Kiki's Delivery Service by Hao Mizaki. I really like any animated move, i used to want to be Eve from Wall-E for halloween then I realized I could hover. It was sad.

And Danny,
I love the movie 2001:A Space Oddessey, Leslie Neilsen is such a great actor. Have you seen the movie "Airplane"? He in that to, its wicked funny.

It's probably a Dell, is it? Is it? I have a huge grudge against Dell.

And Cara, Lolita....?! What a controversal book.  Nabokov is an ama-zing writer, his witty word play is ridiclous.
